- Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical designs and workable technical solutions.
- Develop X++ classes, forms, tables, queries, views, data entities, extensions, Chain of Command, event handlers, batch processes, workflows and business logic.

- Support complex data extraction, transformation, import/export, validation, reconciliation and troubleshooting activities.
- Develop and customize SSRS reports and support Power BI and reporting integrations where required.
- Configure and develop workflows, batch jobs, automation, scheduled processes and alerts.
- Support D365 F&O security roles, duties, privileges and permissions.
- Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, technical troubleshooting and performance optimization.
- Investigate and resolve complex L2/L3 production support issues.
- Participate across discovery, requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, UAT, deployment, go-live, hypercare and post-production support.
- Perform code reviews and ensure development follows Microsoft and GIS360 technical standards.
- Prepare Technical Design Documents, integration specifications, test scenarios, deployment instructions, release documentation and architecture documentation.
- Manage source control and development activities using Azure DevOps and Git.
- Support build, release, deployment and CI/CD processes.
- Work across development, test, UAT, sandbox and production environments using Lifecycle Services and Power Platform Admin Center.
- Coordinate with functional consultants across Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, Inventory, Project Operations and Warehousing.
- Participate in customer workshops and technical architecture discussions.
- Estimate technical development effort and assess technical feasibility.
- Contribute to presales, solution architecture, technical estimations and proposed technical approaches.
- Mentor junior technical consultants and developers where required.

- Strong hands-on X++ and Dynamics 365 F&O architecture experience.
- Visual Studio, extensions, Chain of Command and event handlers.
- Forms, tables, classes, queries, views, enums, data entities and security objects.
- Data Management Framework, data migration and reconciliation.
- OData, REST APIs, custom services and external-system integrations.
- C# / .NET, JSON and XML.
- Azure DevOps, Git, source control, build and deployment processes.
- Lifecycle Services, environment management and Application Lifecycle Management.

- Dynamics AX to Dynamics 365 F&O migrations or upgrades.
Required Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on Dynamics 365 F&O or Dynamics AX technical development experience; general software-development experience alone is not sufficient.
- Substantial real-world experience specifically with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
- Proven involvement in end-to-end Dynamics 365 F&O implementation projects.
- Experience designing complex customizations and integrations.
- Experience working with functional consultants and business stakeholders.

Education & Certifications
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline is preferred.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations development, Microsoft Power Platform or Microsoft Azure are advantageous rather than mandatory.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical troubleshooting ability.
- Strong customer-facing communication and the ability to explain technical subjects to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong ownership mentality with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong documentation skills and a delivery-focused, hands-on working style.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards for code quality, security, maintainability and performance.
- Comfortable working with international and multidisciplinary teams.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is not simply an X++ developer. We are looking for a Dynamics 365 F&O Technical Consultant who understands both the technical platform and the wider implementation lifecycle.
The successful candidate can understand business requirements, translate them into technical architecture, develop and integrate the solution, solve complex technical problems, support deployments and guide the technical side of an implementation from initial design through go-live and ongoing production support.
